Annual review of NHQB fees for 2025-2026
Our model has relatively fixed costs which means that as more developers register with NHQB, we can spread our running costs and reduce fees as a result.
For the second consecutive year, we are committed to providing substantial cost savings for SME developers, helping them join and remain part of the New Homes Quality Code, to achieve improved quality and customer service for as many new build homebuyers as possible.
Key fee updates
- Savings of £200 - £500 for developers with a turnover of <£2.5m to £5m (representing a 30%-50% reduction).
- Savings of £250 - £2000 for developers with a turnover of >£5m to £40m (representing savings of 13%-38%).
- Average savings of 24% for SMEs compared to the previous financial year.
- Cumulative savings of 74% across two years for SMEs (compared with July 2023 fees).
- No increase in fees for all developers, including no adjustment for inflation, effectively resulting in a 2.6% real term saving for developers of all sizes.
Full details of fees for 1 July 2025 – 30 June 2026, along with current fees for 1 July 2024 – 30 June 2025, are available on our website here.
Fee savings apply to:
- Registered Developers whose renewals are due between 1 July 2025 and 30 June 2026.
- New developers applying for NHQB registration during this period.
NHQB Chief Executive Emma Toms said: “We are pleased to be able to provide further fee savings for SME developers. Whilst over 55% of all new homes being built are covered by the New Homes Quality Code in England, Scotland and Wales, we believe every customer should receive the protections (which includes access to the New Homes Ombudsman) offered through the Code.
“Reducing our fees further helps to provide greater accessibility for more SMEs to commit to the Code and improve the quality of more new build homes and the service customers receive when buying and moving into their new home across the UK.”
Full details of the revised fees are available on our website here.
